dc.description.abstract1The stress-strain state arising at brazing metal-ceramic pressure seals has been analyzed. With the use of computer modeling, the levels of residual stresses at various temperatures during cooling were studied. It was found that the main role in the formation of the stress-strain state of the unit is played by the difference in Thermal Coefficient of Linear Expansion (TCLE) of brazed materials, i.e., temperature deformations. Analysis of the tensile stress diagrams showed that they appear on the forming surfaces near the junction with the current lead. As they are getting away from it, they increase at first and then decrease, reaching a maximum at about 2 and 1 mm from the junction on the outer and inner surfaces respectively. It was established that transient plastic deformations develop at temperatures ranging from 900 to 400 °C because of the large difference in TCLE of ceramics and Kovar and low Kovar yield strength in this range. The modeling results showed that the character of the tensile stress fields in ceramics and their change during cooling is not very different, both in the calculation considering only the transient plastic deformations and the compression pressure of 5 MPa and the calculation based on transient plastic deformations and creep deformations at slow cooling with the compression pressure of 5 MPa. The creep deformation developing in the process of slow cooling has little influence on the nature and size of the stresses and strains appearing in the unit.uk_UA
